HQ Wash and Wax FAQs
Where do I go for this service?
Anywhere! We’re a fully-loaded mobile detailing service. We can provide the premium wash at your home, apartment, or work location. We service Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island, Bayside, Great Neck, Little Neck, Manhasset, Port Washington, Syosset and many other locations.
We do not charge a mobile fee, but based on how far you are, we may require a minimum price for us to go out to you. You can also bring your vehicle to our detail shop!
What kind of wax will you use?
We use a few brands i.e. Collinite, Soft99 Fusso, and Wolfgang. The selection will come down to what we are working on and what we decide is best fitting. Our go-to choice is Collinite No. 845 which gives intense gloss and depth of color.
How long will the wax last?
It depends on where and how you store your car! If it sits pretty in a garage at work and home 80% of the time, then it can last between four to six months. If you have your car sitting outside, exposed to all the harsh elements i.e. the sun, freezing temps, rain and snow all 100% of the time, then you may get three months out of it.
If you wash your car with dish soap, then you will start stripping the protective layer of wax off your paint. If you are looking to have your car washed correct you can visit our Premium Wash service.
Do you need access to water or power?
If we work at your home, then if possible (and permitted), we would use your water spigot. If we are working at an apartment or at a work location, we have our own water and power supply. Regardless of the situation, we will get the job done!
Does this remove scratches or swirls from my paint?
Applying a wax will hide the micro-light swirls and scratches in your paint. The wax essentially “fills in” and creates a flatter surface to produce a high shine. This technically does hide the realllllly light scratches to some degree, but it does not actually remove any of them.
Nonetheless, your paint will look glossier and richer in color!
